FMD-40 is a sharp-edged diamond particle with excellent grain holding power in metal bonding systems. Slightly tougher than an FMD-20, it achieves a longer tool life. Well suited for electroplating and other metal bonding systems. Typical applications are tools for processing glass, ceramics, gemstone and cast iron.
Highly resistant, it has sharp, irregular monocrystalline particles.

Regular-shaped abrasive, often used for surface grinding.
For high toughness and heat resistance.
With few inclusions, it is impact resistant and thermally stable.
